Sustainability in Action: How We Contribute to a Greener Future

At Nice Little Things, sustainability is a top priority. We believe small changes can have a big impact on the environment. That's why we have taken several measures to reduce our ecological footprint.

Are you looking for ecological products, webshops that use sustainable packaging or that deliver their products consciously? Discover the nicest local and/or sustainable webshops and products during Eco Wednesday: discover our campaign on ecowednesday.be.

Biodegradable 3D Prints

Our 3D-printed items are mainly made with PLA, a biodegradable material that is kind to the environment. PLA is produced from renewable plant-based raw materials, such as corn starch or sugar cane, and is considered a sustainable alternative to traditional plastics. By using PLA, we reduce our dependence on non-renewable resources and lessen our impact on the environment.

Wood with a Green Certification

In addition, we aim to purchase as many wooden items as possible bearing the FSC logo. This means the wood comes from forests that are managed responsibly and sustainably. Wood is naturally sustainable and fully recyclable, making it an excellent choice for environmentally conscious consumers.

Green Energy for Our Machines

To further reduce our ecological impact, we decided to install solar panels that power our machines with green electricity. By switching to renewable energy sources, we reduce our CO2 emissions and contribute to a cleaner energy supply.

Eco-Friendly Packaging and Efficient Delivery

When packing and shipping our products, we aim for minimal environmental impact. We use eco-friendly packaging materials and have our parcels collected by just one carrier. This not only reduces the number of vehicles on the road, but also shrinks our logistics footprint. In addition, we offer the option of having parcels delivered to a parcel shop, so drivers only need to make one delivery attempt — which is good for the environment.

Separating and Recycling Waste

Finally, we consider it important to separate and recycle our waste. By disposing of materials correctly, we minimise our contribution to landfills and encourage a circular economy in which raw materials are reused and recycled.

Together we make the difference

At Nice Little Things, we continuously strive to improve our sustainability efforts and do our bit for a greener future. We believe that small steps in the right direction can lead to big changes, and we hope to inspire others to take action for the environment too.
